The County Federal Credit Union has assets of over $445 million and is one of the top 7 credit unions in the State of Maine. The County Federal Credit Union was originally founded in 1956 as Loring Federal Credit Union to serve military personnel and civilians that worked at Loring Air Force Base. Today, after the completed merger with Penobscot County FCU, we serve over 30,000 members at branches in Bangor, Caribou, Fort Fairfield, Houlton, Howland, Mars Hill, Old Town, and Presque Isle, with a field of membership that includes all of Aroostook, Penobscot, and Piscataquis Counties.
